She's Siobhan (pronounced Shivahn) Fallow, the daughter of Meredith and Bill Fallow of Park City, and she already has one national title to her credit. Last August, as a one year old, Siobhan won her age group in the finals of the Sunburst U.S.A. Pageant. She'll be competing again this year when the national finals are held in Atlanta, Georgia. Meredith Fallow, who moved to Park City from Miami in December, said the Sunburst Pageant originated in Florida and now includes regional competitions throughout the East Coast. Contestants in age groups from 1 to 27 are judged on beauty and personality. Some pageants also have optional talent and sportwear categories, she said. Siobhan will be accompanied to Atlanta by her family including younger sister Aoibheann (pronounced Aven), who will be competing this year in the one-year-old division. Meredith is looking for Park City businesses or individuals who would like to buy advertising in the program for the national pageant. The cost, $150 per page, is often shared by several sponsors. "We really had a good response in Florida from the banks. And McDonald's was a good supporter for us," she said. Meredith said she is making plans for regional pageants to be held in Park City Oct. 18 and in Salt Lake City Oct. 19. |
