Show ' ) New construction I reaches $18.2 million ! In spite of reports of slumping real-estate sales, permit-authorized construction in Park City is still ahead of last year's pace. According to figures released this week by the Park City Building Department, the value of building permits issued through May of 1985 stands at about $18.2 million, up from $15.5 for the same period in 1984. Half of the 1985 valuation comes from two projects, the $3.9 million Park City Motor Hotel on Park Avenue at Holiday Ranch Loop Road, and the $5.3 million Silver Lode Hotel in Prospector Square. Much of the remaining new construction, as in 1984, is concentrated in Deer Valley. Permits worth about $3.2 million were issued last month to be located across from The Knoll in the Silver Lake area of Deer Valley. Another permit worth $1.3 million was issued in May for the construction of a 12-plex in the Powder Run project on Deer Valley Drive. Powder Run also received a permit worth $120,000 to begin footing and foundation work on a second 12-plex. .. Also listed in the May totals is a permit worth $114,000 for the installation of towers for the Park City Ski Area's new Town Lift, which will fun from the east side of Park Avenue to the Mid-Mountain Lodge. |
