Show Man from Germany gets rude welcome A visitor from Germany lost over $1,000 worth of valuables when he left a travel bag at a Main Street restaurant this week, according to the Park City Police Department's weekly blotter. According to the report, Hangred Eberwein, Germany was dining at Texas Red's June 4 with friends. He left his travel bag in the restaurant but, when he returned 20 minutes later, it was gone. Listed as missing are airline tickets, various forms of identification, a camera and an undisclosed amount of cash. The items are valued at $1,102. On May 29, Paul Hilhert of Brown and Elliot Construction Co. reported that two icemakers were taken from .m the refrigerator's in units HI and H2 at The Ridge Condominiums. The icemakers are worth $218. Joel Parry reported a theft from the construction site of the Radisson Inn on Utah Highway 224 May 29. Listed as missing is a hand grinder valued at $200. Bob Edmiston reported the theft of a bicycle June 4. According to his report, his Raleigh 10 speed was parked outside the Parkside Apartments on Kearns Boulevard when it disappeared. On June 2, David A. Thompson, Trucker trailer lot, Salt Lake City, was arrested for possession of stolen property after a Park City resident reported that Thompson had his skateboard. A juvenile female, who was accompanying Thompson, was also taken into custody for "interfering with an arrest" and possession of marijuana. Andrea Nass reported an automobile burglary June 2. According to her report, her locked 1984 Audi was entered during the previous night. Thieves got away with a tape case and about 30 cassettes. The goods are valued at $225. Jefferv Lvnn. 2525 Holiday Ranch Loop Road, was arrested June 1 for disorderly conduct and assault. According to the police report, Lynn was arrested after he threatened to assault Park City resident Dave Novelle. When Park City officers tried to restrain Lynn, they said they were assaulted. The report states that Lynn was intoxicated. He was booked into county jail in Coalville. David C. Richards of AID Associates has reported to the Park City Police Department that Fred Geissler, the former proprietor of The Shop, a local auto repair garage, has given him bogus checks in excess of $5,000. Apparently the checks were for The Shop's rent at Compark Plaza. The Park City Police Department is investigating the matter. Additionally this week, Park City Police officers made two DUI arrests and one for public intoxication. |
