Suzie Miles to compete for Miss Teen title Local teenager Suzie Miles will compete later this month in the Miss Teen Utah contest, with a chance to be Miss Teen of America. The state competition will be held at Provo's Rodeway Inn on June 27 to 29. Suzie, 17, said she was invited to compete by the Miss Teen organization, organiza-tion, based on her past community activities. For instance, she was Homecoming Queen for Park City High School last fall. She is the daughter of Ralph and Karen Miles of Snyderville. Ralph said she has a good history of involvement in the community. "We're very proud of her," he added. The criteria in the pageant consist of: local service, scholastic performance, perfor-mance, personal development, general gene-ral awareness; poise and appearance. appear-ance. The contest includes an appearance in formal wear by contestants. Each contestant must have sponsors spon-sors to contribute $355 for expenses of the pageant. Suzie is sponsored by Hal Taylor and Associates, Mt. Air Cafe, Silver King State Bank, Jans Mountain Outfitters and Park City Flower Box. |
