Show County valuation tops $600 million Summit County's assessed valuation valua-tion has rocketed past $600 million, eclipsing last year's figure by more than $130 million, according to County Assessor Leo Frazier. Frazier recently completed tabulating tabula-ting property valuations county-wide. county-wide. I While property vaulations posted very modest gains in the Park City area, South Summit School District recorded an increase of about one-third from $290 million to an amount ih excess of $425 million. Frazier said the increase was due to new oil wells. Properties are assessed by the county if they are designated residential or general commercial. Properties such as railroads, utilities, utili-ties, mines and oil wells are assessed by the state. Park City's total valuation is set at $142,184,394. Locally assessed property pro-perty accounts for almost $140 million of that total. Property within the Park City School District has a valuation of $194,953,768, up about six percent from last year's total of $181,478,089. About $188 million of--this year's total is locally assessed property. The North Summit School District has a total valuation of $64.7 million, up from last year's total of $59 million. Almost $50 million of the . property is state assessed property. Locally assessed property accounts for $31.6 million of South Summit's $425 million total, Frazier said. |
