Show Hales to join Salt Lake interior design firm r 2'' The Richins Organization of Salt Lake City has announced that Ed Scott Hales will join its staff as project manager. Hales has been store manager for Park City Furniture since its purchase by Globe Investments in August 1983. The Richins Organization, an interior design firm, was founded in 1973 by Robert Richins. It is located in a renovated church. Hales' work as an interior designer has been well received by Park City's part-time residents as well as the permanent community. He plans to continue his involvement here while helping The Richins Organization expand its list of clients and continue its tradition of fine service. Hales was educated at the University of Utah and the Rudolph Schaeffar School of Design in San Francisco. He holds degrees in color and design. He has spent most of the last 18 years working in Northern California. In addition, he has worked on the design of private residences, restaurants, funeral chapels, professional suites, credit unions and medical and business firms across the country. Ed Hales will be project manager for The Richins Organizations of Salt Lake. Hales also has been listed in Who's Who in America 1984-85 for his contributions to his profession. Hales said he is proud of the trends and style Park City Furniture has set in the community. He added he is grateful for the opportunity to leave its mark on the town that residents and developers have given the firm. Hales said the presence of a full retail furniture operation will be missed in Park City. Hales has received many awards for excellence in the design field. His work has been published in Designer's West, Better Homes and Gardens, Women's Day and Hudson Home magazines. In addition, his work on model residences in Deer Valley will be published in Skiing magazine this fall. |
