Show Logefeil tears up the ladies' ranks again Betty Logefeil, as she is doing with crushing regularity, once again wiped out the competition in the Park City Ladies' Golf Association action at the Park City Municipal Golf Course Tuesday morning. Logefeil's 82 was the hot shot of the A flight. The next best total of the 10 A flighters was the sentimental favorite of golf course head pro Doug Vilven his wife, Denise, who shot a gross score of 86. The third best gross belonged to Jeanne Brinkerhoff at 92. It was Vilven and Brinkerhoff who although not quite good enough to take low gross took the low net crown. The two tied at 68 in the handicapped totals. The B flight was the domain of Cindy Huseth, also a repeat winner from past battles. Huseth's 93 far outpaced the closest B flighter, Joanne Krajeski, at 112. Maybe it is time Huseth put herself up with the A flight she would have won the low net in that division, and placed fifth in the low gross. Huseth's 57 net score technically won the B flight in that category as well. But since a competitor can only take the gross or the net, not both, Rosemary Cyphers won the low net with a 73. |
