C. and is proceeding H to carry out its provisions. This H will moan the immediate disarming M of all persons of German or Austrian H sympathies: Hj "Chief of Police: Under the procla- motion of the President, dated April H 6, 1917, it is unlawful for alien enemies H to have in their possession the fol- H lowing articles: H "Any firearms, weapon, or imple- H ment of war, or component part there- H of, ammunition, maxim or other sil- H encer, bomb, or explosives, or mater- lal used in the manufacture of ex- H plosives; any aircraft or wireless ap- H paratus, or any form of signaling de- H vice, or any form of cipher code, or H any paper, document, or book written H or printed in cipher or in which there M may be invisible writing. H "Your co-operation in enforcing this M proclamation is earnestly desired; and H you are requested, if possible, to post 1 notices or otherwise notify all alion H v enemies within your locality to bring H to police headquarters and surrender H any and all articles which it is un- H lawful to have in their possession. A B detailed receipt should be. given for H i all articles so surrendered, and at the H closo'of the war such articles should H I be rcrurncd.
