Show SLOI MACHINE CASE MAY El IN A I DISMISSAL I District Attorney Stuart P. Dobbs H today said he had decided to ask for f the dismissal of tho complaint against H William A- Taylor, a well known mer- H chant, alleging that he allowed the B operation in his store of one of the f gum vending' machines, or trade stint- H ulators, of which so much was said a H few weeks ago. H It is generally understood that no H attempt will be made by anyone to lIH re-install the slot machines. H Mr. Taylor and the other twenty- ' five or thirty merchants who used BH the machines maintain that they did fH not regard the "stimulators" as a iH gambling device and that they did not H allow gambling in connection with iH the playing of the machine. 'iH MrfrDobbs' action will save the tax- BH payers the expense of a trial and ap- 'PH peal to the supreme court. M Judge Hiram H. Henderson was at- fiH torney for Mr. Taylor. IH |
