Show 111 FAMILY" FACIIVG TRIAL! i EL PASO. Texas, April 13 Indictments Indict-ments were returned today in the United Sates district court against Airs. Amelia Toennlgs, Clarence Toen-nigs, Toen-nigs, Josephine Toennigs, her daughter, daugh-ter, and Henry, All Germans, charging them with "conspiracy to lew war against the United States by inducing and instigating Mexican military commanders com-manders to invade the United "states from Mexico." Mrs, Toennigs and Beach were arrested ar-rested recently, following a raid by the provost guards on a house in the Mexican section. Later Mrs. Toennigs' son and daughter were taken into custody. cus-tody. Another indictment was returned against Mrs. Toennigs and Beach charging an attempt to prevent United Stajes officers from making an investigation inves-tigation of their cases. Four Americans Indicted. Indictments also were returned against four Americans and two Mexicans Mexi-cans charging conspiracy to ship 200, 000 rounds of ammunition from Douglas, Doug-las, Ariz., to Mexico. The Americans were J. E. Anderson, Bernard Schuster, Arthur Schuster and V. B. Andreas. The Mexicans were Emilio Ortiz and C. H. Arm! jo. The ammunition was alleged to have been sent from Douglas to El Paso and was intended for exportation to Mexico. The menr indicted claim they notified the department of justice officials here and received their -permission to make the shipment. |
