Show ALL OVER A HORSE in which brigham city man got best of the bargain D L reese of brigham city was arraigned before judge murphy in tho polica court this morning charged on information of prank moore of north ogden ith having obtained money by fraudulent means the charge Is the outcome of a horse trade between the two men in which mr says he got the worst 0 the bargain the complaint recites that the corn purchased on march 29 tor the sum of 25 a certain horse which the defendant alleged was as sound as a dollar within two hours tho purchaser discovered that the horse was wind broken to such an extent as to render it unfit for use As the defendant refused to refund the money mr bopre brought a crim inal charge him bits of the stor of the horse trade gleaned about the court room mould make it seem as tf it were a david harum horse deal the complaining witness says that he did not try the hose but that the animal looked so well that he did not hesitate to make tha deal while driving toward home tie managed to get as far as the ogden river bridge where the horse fell down as the result of having been wind broken mr moore alleges that the defendant in stating that the horse yas aa sound as a dollar made a fraudulent representation sen tation and on that statement bases tho charge it is strange said mr becse this afternoon that it haa taken mr moore all this time to discover that the horse was wind broken hp H p had the animal over two months before be made a complaint which seems peculiar if the horse really went wrong the day of the purchase through his attorney mr arteese re that the hearing be set to today but as witnesses could not ba secured the case was bet far thursday morning |
