OCR Text and claim to have the best of the strike t st paul minn aug 4 both sides of the northern pacific and great northern railway telegraphers strike claim progress president perham of the telegraphers union bays that the men are remaining loyal to the union cause and are winning over the men who at first refused to go out on the other hand general manager horn of the northern pacific says he will have every vacancy filled before the end of next week wo are getting men from all parts of the country he said while the freight situation has been looking up a bit the fact that there has been increased delay in the passenger train schedule was pointed out by the strike officials as a significant feature and they emphasize the fact that the northern pacific coast train which is due here at a m today Is delayed six hours A representative of the great northern road stated that on three eastern divisions ot the road SO per cent oi the stations anre supplied with agents and ope and that reports from all points show that many of the striking operators are asking to be reinstated perishable freight tor practically all northern pacific stations was accepted by that road and that road will send out to billings montana perishable freight which has been de talked tomorrow the officials say freight will be accepted and forwarded without delay
