Show " Enoch 'Ms. and JrwZ , Midvalley By Veilu Mathesun Mr. and Mrs. La Mar Matheson were in Salt Lake on Monday and Tuesday of last week where LaM;r had a checkup with his doctor. This was the reason there was no Enoch and Midvalley news in last week's paper. The Mu mesons were in Salt Lake week before last where LaMar had another appoint ap-point menl. Mr. and Mrs. David Wankier and two boys are visiting here with Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Matheson. There was a large group of young people from this area who attended Youth Conference Con-ference in l'rovo as part of the North Cedar Stake. The young people participated in a Wilderness hike with the BYU. Mr. and Mrs. (iaylen Matheson were in Salt Lake on business last week. Friends and former neighbors neigh-bors were pleased and surprised to have a visit last week from Mr. and Mrs. Pete Stewart, former Midvalley residents who now live near Hutchinson, Kansas. Pete and Connie have a new baby boy just three months old. Their daughter Wendy will remain here and attend SUSC. Mr. and Mrs Elton Richardson returned recently from Arizona w here they helped with the family of Mr. and Mrs. George Battraw who have a new baby girl. Lewis Olds was released from the hospital last weekend after nearly two weeks. Roger Grimshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Grimshaw is in the Valley View Medical Center recovering from an accident. ac-cident. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Griffiths Grif-fiths spent, a few days in Idaho where they went to attend a family wedding. Carl Fife was honored on Sunday afternoon at an Open House held in town at his daughter and son in law's home. Many friends, relatives and neighbors called to wish him a Happy Birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Delmer Gray visited recently with Mr. and Mrs. Justin Gray and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hughes and family visited here from St. George with Mr. and Mrs. Lvle Gibson. Mr. and Mrs. Hillman Haycock had as house guests last week, Irma's brother and his wife and family. Mr. and Mrs. Gunther Motz, daughter Irma de Valenquela and son Gunther. Gun-ther. They visited here with their son Howard Motz who is spending the summer with the Haycocks. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Maxwell were in Salt Lake over the weekend to bring their children home. Preston, Sheilla, and DaNae spent last week at a camp sponsored by the Muscular Dystrophy Society. While they were in Salt Lake, Preston was fitted with a body brace. Mrs. Laura Hunter returned home recently after spending several weeks in Ogden with her daughter. While there she spent some time in the hopsital. Friends gathered one evening last week to honor Stanford Jones on his birthday. bir-thday. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Huntsman of Fallon, Nev. visited with Mr. and Mrs. Orien Prince. Mrs. Molly Jessup came from Springville to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jessup, and family, the three older Jessup children accompanied ac-companied Mr. and Mrs. Robert Behunin on a vacation trip to Disneyland. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Scott have a new baby girl. This makes first time grandparents grand-parents of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Scott. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wilcken. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Wilcken returned recently from Logan where Dee attended school. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Denn came from California to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Taylor. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Maxwell came from Bloomington to visit with the Denns'. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bronsema have had visits recently from Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bronsema and children; Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Baker of San Diego, and Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Cash of Imperial Beach, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Olsen stopped for a visit with Mre. and Mrs. Ivor Jones. The Olsens and Joneses were on a mission together for the LDS Church. |
