Show 0ES conduct Business Meet By Lelah Wilson Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of the Eastern Star, met Monday evening, June 12, at the Masonic Temple. Mrs. Jennie Peters, Worthy Matron, presided. She was assisted by Percy Peters, Worthy Patron. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Lewis of Lexington, Kentucky, Ken-tucky, and Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kronman of Fountain Valley, Calif, were extended a happy "welcome home" by j. officers and members. mem-bers. During the business meeting the Chapter voted to dispense with meetings during the months of July and August. The Secretary and Treasurer will remain active. Velma Lundgren announced the Robert Morris Day family picnic will be held at the Vermillion Cliffs area, Parowan Canyon, Sunday August 13, at one o'clock. Audrey Coe joined the Chapter by affiliation af-filiation and was extended a fraternal welcome by the Worthy Matron. Past Matrons and Past Patrons were recognized by the Worthy Matron. Duly honored were Past Matrons Bernice Lewis, Marie End-sley, End-sley, Lelah Wilson, Ruth Gardner, Marjorie Durand, Gerry Gooding, Ethel Smith, Winifred Thompson and Margaret Kronman, and Past Patrons Clayton Lewis, Gustin O. Gooding, Arthur Thurston and Julius Kronman. Gifts were presented to them by Conductresses Con-ductresses Doris Williams and Marjorie Reese. Mr. and Mrs. Gooding, Lucille Bunn, Ethel Smith, Marie Endsley and Lelah Wilson attended Grand Visitations at Price, Green River and Moab. Saturday, June 10, Lucille Bunn and Lelah Wilson attended the Grand Visitation at Tintic Chapter No. 18, Eureka, which was the Homecoming of the Worthy Grand Matron Marguerite C. Butler, and the last visitation for the year. Following the meeting the group enjoyed a social hour and refreshments. Hostesses were Ethel Smith, Marie Endsley, Winifred Thompson Thomp-son and Margaret Kronman. |
