Show Guild conducts Membership Drive Y at. dj f- - TIN DRIVE UNDERWAY. Tim Swanson makes a telephone contact to help organize Utah Shakespearean Festival Guild membership drive being held this week. The Utah Shakespearean Festival Guild will receive a boost this week as a membership mem-bership drive under the direction of Tim Swanson seeks to double the present Guild support. The membership mem-bership drive is offering the following inducements for friends of the Festival to join the support group: 1, Memberships received before June 30 will be listed in the 1978 souvenir program. 2. Hostesses and concessions persons for the 1978 season are selected from Guild members. 3. A Guild afternoon tea featuring music from the production SCANDALS will be held in July. 4. A late night dinner with cast and Guild is planned during the Festival season. 5. Guild members will receive all Festival mailings one full week before the general public. 6. Each Guild member will receive one free admission to the matinee film, THE TAMING OF THE SHREW, starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. Present Guild members are volunteering to contact friends and neighbors regarding the advantages of joining the Festival support group, and according ac-cording to Robert C. Hansen, Festival Guild President, Mr. Swanson has excellent qualifications for directing the drive. He recently headed the Cedar City Action Ac-tion Group telethon, and is the Cedar City representative represen-tative for Edward D. Jones and Company stock broker. Mr. Swanson recently moved to Cedar City with his wife and family. "The Utah Shakespearean Festival was one of the attractions that brought my wife and me to Cedar City, and I want to support it," Mr. Swanson said. |
