Show A Tribute To a 'Country Doctor' I f As day by day in his most friendly ways he has served many of us one and all. Many of patients forgot to pay although, the doctor's fees were small, but ol' Doc Prestwich didn't seem to mind for he found a cure for many aches and pains to ease the mind. Why, many folks far and near in our little town, yes, I'm one too, where they made there first Day-Bew. Though he needed his dimes, there . were times that he received for his fee, but he'd pass it on to some poor person who needed it more than he. If the town were to open his back old ledgers they would find most bills paid in full. As little children go to school, bill was also paid in full, for ol' doc Prestwich would slap them on the back and (GIN) and say hurry back. With the doctors Bag off he sags into the cold winter nights or stormy weather you always knew he was going for someone who needed his care, maybe it has been you. From his buggy to his old jalopy cars the good old doc would begain his rounds, but only he knew all the things he found. On the farm he could be seen by following the licourice on the ground. He worked hard to build his land for miles he covered shaking someones hand. Our God gave us freedom of land but most of all he gave us this wonderful won-derful man. Though hard times or good times DR. PRESTWICH worked hand in hand with God bringing new lives in and feeling much sorrow for those A Tribute to Dr. J. S. Prestwich, a man who made history through his 75 years in practice and life with his family and friends.) He was just a country doctor in this little Cedar town. Fame and fortune has passed him by, but we never saw him frown. wno depart our eternal land. We're all his children young and old, and we want you to know we love you more than gold, for your 75th birthday goes on untold. Here we are young and old waiting for the eleven o'clock hour to roll, to share in our problems so he can help them go. This tribute is to you Doctor with love and affection from all your family, friends that you still make go. May God hold you in the palm of his hands for all the love that you show. |
