Show Bryce Canyon visitors climb Travel to Bryce Canyon National Park for May showed an increase in-visitors in-visitors of 55 percent over last year, it is reported by Thomas 0. Hobbs, Superintendent. A total of 65,952 visitors entered Bryce Canyon during May. Many of these visitors were from foreign countries, with Germany, France and Switzerland having the largest representation. Both Park campgrounds are open and few vacant sites are available after 6 p.m. Over 9,000 visitors stayed in the campgrounds during May. A variety of naturalist programs are available. A daily schedule of guided walks and special activities is posted at the Park Visitor Center. All hiking trails are open for use. The Bryce Lodge, camp-store, camp-store, gas station, and other facilities are open. Daily . horseback trips are available. A full range of visitor accomodations and services are also found outside the Park and in nearby communities, Hobbs stated. |
