Show i s I Rotary LL maintain Winning Ways The American Little f League is now in its second half of play with Rotary still undefeated and Kiwanis 5 sporting only one loss. Rotary maintained its I record by defeating f Coleman 15 to 8 with Alan ! Pearson pitching and Robert ' Pearson hitting a homerun. ; Rotary continued its : momentum against Carter i Brothers with a 17-1 score in ; spite of 2 doubles for Carter Brothers by Staples. Robert Pearson pitched one of his best games of the season and almost kept the opposition ; scoreless. The Rotary players were all "hitters" ' with many singles being stretched into doubles and triples. Doubles designated as such by scorekeepers were hit by Jones, Reagan, Helton, Benson and 2 for Birrell. Kiwanis handed Carter Brothers its third defeat with a 10-7 score. Walker tripled and pitcher Darren Green doubled. Later in the week Heap pitched a winning win-ning game for Kiwanis 21 to Coleman ll. Hulet and Green doubled. Milne squeaked by Ken Bettridge 11-10 with the help of a homerun by Morrell. LaVasseur was winning pitcher with tough contender Darrell Little taking the loss. That same evening Spilsbury Graff soundly beat 7 Up 12-2 with Craig Cardon hitting back to back homeruns (2). Lambeth was the winning pitcher. Spilsbury Graff won a lopsided lop-sided one against Ken Bettridge 24-1 with pitcher Hulet hitting a homerun and Lambeth and Chidester doubling. The week ended with a "wild one", Milne 17--7-Up 2.
