Show Paragonah news by Hilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Joan 'Davenport and daughters Louise and Barbara traveled to Salt Lake City on Sept. 24th in order for Louise to begin another year of schooling at the University of Utah where she has been accepted into nursing school. Mrs. Davenport and Barbara returned home after two days visit with the Jerald Davenport family. Mr. E. M. Edwards left for Calif, recently with his son Max of Napa. Plans are for Mr. Ed- wards to spend the winter with family members in Calif. Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Harris and son Kelly of Salt Lake City were overnight visitors here Sat. with Nona's mother, Mrs. Hannah Robinson. They also visited in Parowan with Norman's mother, Mrs. Hattie Harris. Mrs. Aretta Parkinson who is living here with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Lister was hospitalized overnight in the Beaver Hospital recently. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones had weekend visitors. Mr. and Mrs. David Park and two children Mary accompanied them back to Brigham City for a week's stay returning home on Sat. Gerald Davenport came from Salt Lake City for the Elk hunt and his wife and children visited with the Jack Daltons in Parowan. Mrs. Janice Sturdevant and son, Justin recently moved to Salt Lake City but were back this' past weekend for a visit with the Kay Lamoreaux family. Mr. Legrand Robb, Mr. Lewis Prothero and Mr. Albert Michaeli arrived home Sunday evening after spending all week in the Manti area hunting Elk. They were with a group of friends and had a pleasant time but got no elk. arrived on Fri. to stay until Sun. and J. B. Jones, son Jeffrey and a friend were here overnight. All the visitors were from Salt Lake City. Miss Wendy Robinson was home from Tues. to Fri. to visit with her people, the Boyd Robinson family after spending the summer at Jacksons Hole, Wyo. On Fri. she left for Logan taking little sister, Shelly with her. Boyd, Hazel and Penny followed later as Penny is to attend school in Logan for a time and will live with Wendy and Holly. The parents and Shelly returned home on Sat. Mr. and Mrs. Alan Lister and four children of Ely, Nev. arrived here on Sat. for an overnight visit with the John R. Lister family. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb left for a fine trip to Portland, Oregon and parts west during the past week. Bishop and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham left for Ariz, on Wed. to visit with son Joe and his family of Tempe. They were making the trip with Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Topham of Cedar City who were going to Douglas for a week's visit with their son Marshall and his family. Mrs. Lola Robb, Miss Shirley Fotherinham and their father, Arch Fotheringham left for Salt Lake City on Wed. to visit with relatives for most of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Lamoreaux of Hiko, Nev. visited here on Wed. with the Chester Robinsons. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Topham of Salt Lake City have been here the past week. They are working on the Asa Topham home and property to make a family vacation home. Mr., and Mrs. Mrs. Mark Henderson and children of Las Vegas arrived here on Sat. to spend the weekend with the Sam Cutlers. On Mon. they were going to Cannonville for the funeral service for one of Mark's relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Peck and daughter Dianna Sue of Grigham City were here recently for an overnight stay with Sandra's mother, Mrs. Mary Robinson. |
