Show Exhibit in Phillips Gallery Salt Lake City since 1967. Ms. Nelson is currently a member of the Salt Lake Art Center faculty and has served as a visiting instructor at West minster College. She also conducts con-ducts workshops in welding. She has received several awards, and her works are inb many private collections. The Phillips Gallery, 444 East 200 South, Salt Lake City, is currently exhibiting paintings by Thomas A. Leek and recent sculpture by Sally Nelson. According to Denis Phillips, gallery director, the exhibition will run through October 16. Regular gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Thomas A. Leek is a native of Salt Lake City where he went through the public schools. He continued his education at the Art Institute of Chicago, University of Chicago, Brigham Young University, University of California at Los Angeles and University of Iowa. Mr. Leek is currently an associate professor of art and curator of the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, Southern Utah State College, Cedar City. The artist is a regular exhibitor in state, regional and national invitational and juried exhibitions. Southwest landscapes land-scapes in aqueous and mixed media have dominated his work in recent years. He has received numerous awards, and his works are in public and private collections throughout the country. Sally Nelson is a native of Connecticut. She attended Wellesley College in Massachusetts, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School and Tufts University. She has lived in SALLY NELSON THOMAS A. LEEK |
