AUSTIN HEYWOOD Heywoods called on Mission Austin and Nellie Heywood of the Cedar Ninth Ward have received a call from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to serve on a mission. They have been called to serve in the Tampa, Florida Mission. The Heywoods will speak at the Ninth Ward Sacrament Meeting to be held Sunday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m. They will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City on Oct. 16, prior to leaving for Florida. The Heywoods have been active church' members throughout their lives. They have both participated in numerouis music activities. Mr. Heywood has served as Bishop of the Cedar Third Ward, as a Stake Superintendent of Sunday School, Music Director, Choir Leader, MIA President. Mrs. Heywood has served in all of the auxiliaries serving as president of both the stake and ward primary organizations for a period of 30 years. She has also been active in Relief Society, Sunday School, and MIA both In work, and stake capacities. Recently the Heywoods have served as ordinance workers in the St. George LDS Temple. They have also been active in community affairs. They are the parents of five children, four sons and a daughter; and a grandson. Each of their sons and their grandson have served LDS Missions. |
