Show Patrotic Musical presented by Pa rowan Stake PAROWAN A beautiful patriotic feeling was inspired in the audience last week in the PHS auditorium as they enjoyed an outstanding presentation of "Title Of Liberty" by the Parowna Stake. Congratulations should be extended to the directors Mrs. Dan (Andrea) Harris and Asst. Director Mrs,. Frank (Anna) Mecham and musical directors Gary Jensen and Merna Mitchell. Mit-chell. The musical featured a huge cast of 39 all members of the Parowan Stake, and told of the turmoil and heartache caused by the war for independence and the joy felt when the Declaration of Independence was signed. The sets built by Chuck, Jim and Dan Harris assisted by Larry Hatch were very impressive im-pressive and added a great deal to the feeling of authenticity. The setting for the play was Medford Square 1775 and represented a time of indecision for the colonists. Should they stand by King George or fight for independence. The struggles were shown with fire and tenderness. ten-derness. Brenda Adams and Brian Gurr played the leading roles with Debra Robinson, Sam Halterman, Steve Stapley, Llewellyn Leigh, Crystine Hyatt, Rich Dalton, Larry Hatch, Scott Potter, Alan Adams and Sandi Adams also with leading roles in the play. The production was very well received and enjoyed by everyone who attended. |
