Show IT WAS A GAS. The Sadie Hawkins events at Cedar High School were a real success. Prince Visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Esta Taylor were her sister Evelyn Adair of Sandy and Mrs. Adair's son ; Mr. and Mrs. Roland (Sue) Adair; Esta's and Evelyn's cousin, Mrs. Dewey (Louise) Dever of St. George and a brother-in-law of Esta's, Golden Taylor of Montana and Las Vegas, Nev. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Hall had as visitors over night their daughter-in-law and granddaughter grand-daughter Lois and Janet Hall and Lois's mother, LaVerna Railsback of Fillmore. Visiting in Las Vegas Thursday Thur-sday and Friday with their children Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Verla) Cripps and family and Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Pearce were Mr. and Mrs., Thomas Pearce. Mrs. Stella Brown spent a few days in Henderson Nev. visiting and attending to business and has returned home. The opening S,ocial of the Relief Society was held. Wednesday Wed-nesday night with a pot luck dinner. The evening was spent by the ladies and their partners listening to music, visiting and dancing. Two piano solos were played by Olive Schmutz. This was under the direction of the Relief Society Presidency Viola Kelsey and Vilo Pearce. Bro. and sister Richard Rowley (sister Rowley is the Stake Relief Society Pres.) were in attendance. at-tendance. A good time was enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prince spent a few days visiting in Logandale, Nev. visiting with their daughter Laureda Prince and family. The Princes' have a winter home in Logandale. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Prince received word Thursday, Sept. 30, of the birth of their first great grandson born that day to their grandson Mr. and Mrs. Bradley Hunt of Calif, in the Dixie Medical Center. The proud grandparents are Clyde and Delora P. Hunt formerly of New Harmony and are now living in St. George. Mrs. Sylva Pace of St. George visited here one day last week with friends and to attend Relief Society. Visiting with their in-laws, Mrs. Leah Batty and Mr. and Mrs. Vivian Prince Friday night were Mrs. Roland (Susie) Prince and daughter Kara and Mrs. Ben (Nanette) Batty and son Bennie. Dave Hardin of Las Vegas, Nev. spent the weekend here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Kelsey. Mrs. Darce (Camilla) Prince has returned home after spending spen-ding a few weeks in Salt Lake and Granger and to be with her daughter Carol who was operated on in the LDS Hospital. Carol returned home with her mother to recover for a month before returning back to teaching job at Grantsville. Mrs. Annette Frie and children of Calif, returned home after spending a few days here and in Coke, Wyo. with her brother Vernile and Elma Lynn and family, and in Salt Lake with her sister Mr. and Mrs. John (Claudine) Spevake and children and with her mother Mrs. Darce Prince and sister Carol Petty in Grantsville. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Tobler of Henderson, Nev. visited with Marva Prince one day last week. |
