Show BPW members attend Fall Conference By Candace L. Ewing The fall Conference of the Southern District of Business & Professional Women's Clubs was held in Beaver Saturday, Oct. 2, 1976. It was attended by four members of the Cedar City Club-President Club-President Blanche LeBaron, Treasurer Karla Hulet, Chairman Chair-man of Finance Maomi Harrison, and Career Women for the State Federation of Utah Susan Gardner. A delicious chicken dinner was served at the one o'clock luncheon lun-cheon at the Ponderosa Cafe. Presiding was District Director Ann Marshall of Beaver who introduced the following State Officers: Gretta Bauer, president-elect, Mary Blundell, help pay the expenses of the District, was held. Peggy Brandis of the St. George Club was the lucky winner. Following the luncheon and program, those present were divided into workshops for discussion under the various legislation, membership, foundation, career girl, treasurer, and program. All clubs in the southern Distirct were represented by members from Panguitch, Zion, St. George, Beaver, Milford and Cedar City. Gretta Bauer thanked all present for the work being done in every community in which there is an active BPW Club in the upgrading of the Status of Women. vice president, Lois Pickett, chairman of legislation, Virginia Bloomroth, treasurer, Susan Gardner, Career Woman, and Julia Newman, chairman of foundation. President-elect Gretta Bauer welcomed everyone and gave an enthusiastic address on the accomplishments of women. She also complimented the Panguitch Club on stabilizing at 100 percent membership, which is the goal all our clubs are working for. A special musical number by Guitarist David Christensen, who played his own accompaniment and sang "The Last Farewell", was enjoyed by everyone.
