Show D. McConnell dies; Services held Durward Bladen McConnell 61 died Nov. 28, 1976 in the Valley View Medical Center in Cedar City. Born Dec. 15, 1914 in Cedar City to Clifton and Alean Bladen McConnell. Married Beth Robinson in Las Vegas, Nev. later divorced. He had worked as a welder for Rice Machinery in Cedar City. He is survived by a son Bert of Miami, Florida; his father of Cedar City, a brother Billie of Cedar City and a sister Mrs. Bill (Ellen) Ross of Las Vegas, Nev. Funeral services were held Wed. Dec. 1, 19767 in the Cedar Fifth LDS Ward Chapel. The family prayer was offered by Billie McConnell with Valaine Bladen playing the prelude, postlude music and bishop Wallace Heap conducting. The invocation was offered by Keith Lambeth with Jim McConnell giving the benediction and Boyd Bladen dedicating the grave. Musical selections consisted of vocal solo's by Gene Roundy and Forrest Hunter. The speakers were Max B. Willis and LaVoy Starley. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuaries. |
