Show Leek Painting in Utah Exhibit A water color painting by Southern Utah State College professor of art Thomas A. Leek has been selected for inclusion in "The Utah Artist Today," a traveling exhibition of works by Utah artists. "MV-VIH" is a 30 x 38 inch study done off the banks of the Virgin River in Zion National Park and is painted primarily in the arid greens of late summer, Professor Leek reports. The traveling exhibition of Utah artists is currently being shown at Weber State College. Other showings are scheduled at the University of Utah, Utah State University, SUSC, BYU and the College of Eastern Utah. Southern Utah residents will have the opportunity to see the show March 3 - 26 when it will be displayed in the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery at SUSC. "The Utah Artist Today" is a special Bicentennial exhibition being sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. |
