Show High Winds cause Power Outage Power was interrupted Saturday, November 27 to customers of California-Pacific Utilities Company in most communities in Washington County according to J. P. Paris. demands which strained the Company's alternate systems. This made restoration of service difficult and time consuming. Most of the Company's customers were back in service however, by about 7p.m. Division Manager of the Company's Com-pany's operation in Cedar City. Paris reported that high winds snapped two poles holding high voltage conductors in the Berry Springs area west of Hurricane at about 1:10 p.m. Saturday afternoon. Cal-Pac crews from Hurricane and Cedar City worked through the night repairing the damaged lines and ; rerouting power over alternate ' systems.
