Show Newspapers help build LLPark Every family can help raise funds for the new Little League Ball park by saving newspapers, Sears mailers, magazines and paper back books. We estimate that about 275 pounds of newspaper is delivered to the area each day. If we could save 80 percent of this amount, we could raise approximately $16.00 per week, which would net us $800.00 in a year's time. This drive will last until next summer. If you are willing to help us. Save all your newspapers, etc. and bundle them in 15 to 20 lb. bundles, bun-dles, that's a stack 7 or 8 inches high, tie them with twine or string, or put them in boxes or paper bags. If you have transportation, tran-sportation, please take them to the Race Track where we are storing them in the jockeys room until we get a full load. If you do not have a way to get them out to the Race Track, we will pick them up if you will call Joan Mortensen, 477-3557. A regular pick up day will be established in the near future. This is a method to raise funds that will not cost anyone any money. The only expense will be the string to tie the bundles. We desparately need the help of everyone in order to get started on our ball park by spring. Please commit yourselves your-selves to saving paper for us. |
