Show Rams open grid season niih victory line with only eight seconds to go. The Rams play their next game against a tough Beaver team Friday, Aug. 27, at 8 p.m. The Rams new coach, Tom Baltzer, is looking forward to an exciting and successful season. PAROWAN - The Parowan Rams opened their football season Friday night with a victory over the North Sevier Wolves 20-12. The Rams offense, under the direction of quarterback Don Hulet, had several excellent drives with the running abilities of Gordon Mortensen, Kerry Orton, and Curtis Mitchell. The leading rusher in the game was Curtis Mitchell who rushed for 158 yards and scored three touchdowns. touch-downs. Hulet's prime receiver was Tom Robinson who had a 60 yard pass reception which led to the Ram's first touchdown. The North Sevier wolves caught fire in the fourth quarter when they scored their second touchdown and threatened a third, but the Rams defense held them on the 20. The big play of the game came when Kerry Orton intercepted a Wolves pass in the end zone, and ran it back to the Rams 20 yard |
