Show PARAGON AH NEWS ' The Elders Quorum and their , wives had a cookout party to , Williamsons Ranch on Sat. evening and a fine group made the trip there. The activities 1 were cut short by a rain storm so ' all of the things planned were not brought to completion. Mrs. Cortella Cutler of Kanab arrived here on Thurs. for a ten day visit with her son Sam and his family. Mrs. Earlene Henderson and three children of Las Vegas arrived here on Fri. to visit with, the Sam Cutler family until Tues. or so. Mrs. Idella Robinson enjoyed a visit from her sister Mrs. . Dorothy Mickel of Spring Cfty last week. Mrs. Mickel, her son Lance and his wife arrived on Sun. and the following day the young couple went to Cedar City to attend some special school at SUSC until Wed. By Hilma Lamoreaux Almost 100 members of the John Topham family were together on Sat. for their reunion. A fine meal was served, a program presented and a new president appointed. Bishop Kenneth Topham will replace his brother, Fred as president of the family organization. Vice presidents are Velva Batty, Romola Fretwell, Myron Abbott, Berniece Bulloch, and Orson Topham. Rulon Topham is secretary. June Topham family geneologist and Emma Rasmuussen, historian. Among those who traveled from a distance for the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Topham, Mr. and Mrs. June Topham, Steven Topham, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Topham, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Dan Topham and children, Bountiful; Mr. and, Mrs. Bob Peterson, Charles Topham and a son of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. David Topham and children also of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Kay Topham and boys of San Bernardina, Calif. A number came from Cedar City and Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berrie and three of their family of Kearns were here for the Topham reunion and to spend the weekend with Marie's mother, Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. Miss Shirley Fotheringham traveled to Beaver on Tues. for an overnight visit with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Jack White and then accompanied them to Provo where Mr. White kept a Doctors appointment and Shirley was able to attend a day at BYU Education week. They visited with relatives and returned home on Sat. Mrs. Patsy Cutler and her three children enjoyed a trip to Salt Lake City last week and were guests at the home of Mrs. Viola LeFevre from Tues. to Fri. They enjoyed seeing the circus and some other activities. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham had their entire family together last week for the first time in seven years. Kenneth Jr. and his famuy tid; arrived the previous week and 6nk Mon. Joe and Betty and their, four came from Tempe, Ariz) and Lynn Kay and Kristine and their two boys came from San Bernardino, Calif. On the 17th they had a big birthday dinner for the three fellows with August birthdays. Joes on the 1st, Kenneths on the 17th and Lee Arlens the 24th, and there was much fun at the Topham home. Joe and his family left for home Tues. night and Kenneth and his on Wed. Lynn Kay has two weeks vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Thornton and family and Mr. and Mrs. Alpine Thornton all of Las Vegas are in town for a few days stay at their vacation home. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones traveled to Salt Lake City for the weekend to visit with family members and to see the circus with their grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Robinson and daughter, Lori and Mrs. Irene Robinson traveled to Orem on Thurs. for an overnight stay and to attend the wedding reception for Sherrie Ashton and Bryce Holbrook in Pleasant Grove. Irene reports that her father, Arch Lamoreaux was taken to the hospital Thurs. evening for treatment for blood clots in his leg. Darren and Christian Orton and Mathew Brown of Cedar City visited here for three days last week with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux. Mrs. Peggy Robinson and her small son of Cedar City were weekend visitors here with the Clark Lamoreaux family. Antone Robinson traveled to Salt Lake City on Aug. 15 with his brother-in-law Raymond Brey and then flew to Calif, on business for the week. Connie and the three younger children traveled to Salt Lake City on Fri. to spend the weekend week-end and bring him home again. About 20 of the youth of the Ward traveled to Dixie on Sat. for a fun outing. Their schedule including swimming at Veyo, visiting the Temple grounds! eating out, roller skating and bowling. They were accompanied by-Mrs. by-Mrs. Vivian Robb, Mrs. Hazel Jean Robinson and Mr. Albin Judd. Little Monica Carter of Minersville has been visiting here for several days with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Lamoreaux while her parents were to Ely. 1 |
