Show Happy Homemaking Hints by Janet H. Weaver By Janet H. Weaver A recent trip to the big sky country of Montana was well worth it. In addition to a good time I was able to talk my sister-in-law , out of some yummy recipes. tfl This week I'd like to share Mrs. Katherine Walker's recipe for Whole Wheat Pancakes. My oldest son who normally doesn't care for pancakes asks for more lightly greased hot griddle. This is a sweeter than usual hot cake; so amount of sugar may be reduced if desired. Special Note: You learn something everyday! I learned that anytime you are baking with whole wheat and the recipe calls for eggs, you should be sure to separate the eggs and beat the egg whites stiff. This does away with the heaviness whole wheat flour often gives. of these. !
