Annette Wadsworth, Cheri Nelson and Jeanne Bowman were at the guest book while the refreshments were being served by Carolyn Slack, Terri Cox, Rut Davis, Joanne Knell and Julie Ann Singleton. Norma Lamoreaux, an aunt, along with Lorna Jean Gower, Becky Gower and Randi Gower, sister-in-law of the bride, took charge of the gifts, Catering the event was Mrs. LaRene Bradshaw with Mrs. Toni Fife, Mrs. Gaylord Slack, Mrs. Betty Jean Nelson, Mrs. Vickie Ott, Mrs. Danny Shakespear and Mrs. Robert Stratton helping in the kitchen. The beautiful garden setting was designed and decorated by Mrs. Evelyn Orton with the seven layer wedding cake highlighting one corner. Pre-nuptial courtesies included in-cluded a personal shower given by Miss Jan Stratton and a kitchen kit-chen and miscellaneous shower given by Mrs. Vernon Singleton and her daughters Sherri and Julie Ann. A special guest at the wedding was Cindy's grandmother, Mrs. Gretta M. Orton of Parowan. The new Mrs. Tait is a student at Cedar High School where she will continue her studies this fall. Doug Doug graduated from the Milford High School where he was active in sports; chairman of the Junior Prom and a member of the Lettermen's Club., He was a member of the Utah National Guard, has attended at-tended Southern Utah State College and is presently employed em-ployed with Blackburn and Gower Construction Co. in Cedar City. The couple are making their home in Cedar City. MR. AND MRS. DOUGLAS MELVIN TAIT brothers, Steve Gower, Stewart Gower and Connel Gower. A younger brother, Mark Gower, served as ring bearer. Mothers of the bride and bridegroom wore floor length gowns of burgundy and white poly-sheer over pink satin crepe. They both wore corsages of burgundy roses and pink carnations. car-nations. Greeting guests at the reception were Mr. and Mrs. Wain Mecham. Beautiful background music was furnished The LDS Institute of Religion in Cedar City was the setting for a June 19th wedding that united in marriage Miss Cindy Gower ; and Douglas Melvin Tait. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Bishop Kenneth R. Shakespear of the Cedar City LDS Sixth Ward. The bride is the daughter of . Mr. and Mrs. Reid Gower of Cedar City and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin ; , tait of Milford. That evening the bride's parents hosted a reception for the newly weds. The bride was radiant in a gown fashioned of poly-sheer and Venice lace. The Victorian neckline was acdented with lace ! applique and seed pearls above a sheer yoke. Matching lace enhanced the long sleeves and dainly ruffle at the wrist. The ' princess lines of the gown widened to a full A-line skirt, also ! appliqued - with lace and ; lengthened into achapel train edged in lace at the hemline. Her circular veil edged in matching lace was held by a r headpiece of Venice lace and seed pearls.
