Show Arthur Fife, active Church worker dies; honored at funeral services , . . ..r ' i r, I " '' ' f Jt " - f , , , n . n I Utah State University ana received his masters degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Calif. He taught at the BAC for 12 years; was a consulting Engineer for the Gten Canyon Dam; worked for the United States Soil Conservation Service in New Mexico and was the Chief Civil Engineer for the Navajo Reservation in Arizona and New Mexico. He was an active member of the LDS Church having served in the Parowan Stake Presidency. He is survived by his wife of Cedar City, sons and a daughter; Roland W. and Glade W. both of Albuquerque, N.M., Dr. Ray Fife of Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. Jack D. (Marjorie) Hines of Lamesa, Texas and Paul C, of Tuscon, Ariz. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, three brothers and a sister; Wilfred R. of St. George, Carl F. and Otto both of Cedar City and Mrs. Rulon (LaVerne) Esplin of Fruitland, Idaho. ARTHUR R. FIFE Funeral services for Arthur Root Fife 89, will be held today at 11 a.m. in the Enoch Second LDS Ward Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Spilsbury & Graff Mortuary. Arthur died Sept. 6 1476 in a Cedar City Hospital of natural causes. He was born July 2, 1887 in Cedar City, to Joseph Smith and Emily Kate Root Fife. Married Florence Williams July '7, 1913 in Kanarraville. She died May 10, 1953. Married Hilda Mary Woodford April 16, 1968 in the St, George Temple. Mr. Fife attended the BAC, |
