BLM hold public meetings (Public meetings to discuss proposed changes in grazing regulations will be held in 19 Utah communities during the next two weeks by the Bureau of Land Management, beginning Sept. 7 in the Cedar City area. Paul L. Howard, BLM Utah state director, said the informal meetings will provide livestock operators and other interested persons information gn the proposals. Comments concerning con-cerning the proposed regulations may be submitted before October Oc-tober 1 to the Director (210), Bureau of Land Management, Washington, D.C. 20240. Howard added that the proposed regulations mark the first significant changes in grazing management in 40 years. They represent "a streamlining and an updating to make possible intensive management practices consistant with livestock operators' needs and multiple use of the national resource lands," he said.
