Show Council considers Power Increase people here favor the Sunday i sales or oppose them as it now stands, it is illegal to sell beer on Sunday in Parowan. Everyone is reminded to look for this ballot at the polls and vote on this issue. The council received a copy of a letter from Ideal Plumbing Company concerning the sewer line that will connect the new Swiss Village Motel. In the letter they stated that the sewer line was too high for the units there. The council decided the Swiss Village management would have to run their own sewer line from the Pit Stop corner to the corner of First East 5th North and they will have to pay the total expense of the main line to there. John Lovric was to the meeting to discuss his proposed overnight camping area to be built south of the Pit Stop. A letter was submitted sub-mitted from the planning and zoning committee and they recommended that a six month permit be issued for a primitive area camp spot, during this time only contained units will be allowed to use the park. , The council agreed to this with the stipulation that the permit be reviewed at the end of six months to determine whether to issue a permanent permit. Parowan High School has requested the city's municipal Swimming Pool be 4tept open through the month of September. They wish to use it for P.E. classes while the weather is still warm enough. The city agreed to do this providing the school district will pay the expenses during that time. The pool is usually closed at the opening of the school year. Nick Caravelli, owner of. the J.D. Lounge attended the meeting to request a mini-bottle license. The council advised him that before they could act on such a matter he would have to have the approval of the State Liquor Commission.
