Show BPW Members enjoy Summer Meet By Candace L. Ewing The location of the Cedar City Business & Professional Women's' Club annual summer membership meeting was the beautiful patio and garden of the residence of Mrs. Leta Cowley. A large number of members, guests, jand prospective members mem-bers were present to enjoy a fine meal prepared by the executive board. The following guests were present: Dorotheia Smith, Secretary at SUSC, Barbara Cowley and Doris Williams, Instructors at SUSC, Linda Autrey and Juanita McDaniels, Secretaries, Mary Matheson, KarlenePaxman, LaRue Morris, and Mae Henrie. Neola Brown gave a brief discussion on "What B & P W means to me and the community." com-munity." Edna Sargent, who is in charge of financing for our gift of a scholarship to SUSC said that the club will have four camp quilts for sale, as well as the one other quilt made for a drawing. She asked for help from members mem-bers with the tieing and quilting when the quilts are set up in her basement. The September meeting will be held at the Town & Country Restaurant, Wednesday Sept. 8. v. have not been contacted please call a member of the club within the next four days to order yours. Family birthdays and anniversaries an-niversaries will be listed. The club uses this project as a fund raising activity each year with the money going to worthwhile wor-thwhile projects. |
