Show Cedar Breaks travel declines Visitor travel to Cedar Breaks National Monument totaled 79,302 for August, Monument Superintendent Earle G. Curran announced today. This represents a 16 percent decline in travel for the same period in 1975. Travel to date for the year is up 25 percent over 1975. Campground use for August 1976 was slightly lower than August 1975, but total camper use has increased 28 percent over 1975. Evening interpretive programs will end Sunday, September 5. Effective Labor Day, September 6, the visitor center hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 :30 p.m., with the last day of operation Sept. 18. , The campground will close for the season Monday, September 20. |
