Show NEWS OF ACTIVITIES IN SUMMIT I By Donna Dav.npoit The Fireside for the young people of our ward was held at the home of Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Dailey Sunday evening. Dr. and Mrs. Aubrey Lawrence their son Richard and daughters daugh-ters Katheryn, Carol Ann and Barbara Jean of Gunnison, Coio. spent last week visiting here with Mr. Lawrence's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wllford Lawrence, a brother, Alma Lawrence, and a sister, Mrs. Jack Farrow and their families who entertained for them while they were here. ' A number of our people were in Parowan Saturday evening to attend an open house honoring newlyweds Sharon and Phillip Bayles, at the home of Phil's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Bayles. Bay-les. An aunt, Mrs. Bertrand Dailey Dai-ley and daughter Mary Beth were there along with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Walker, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Farrow, Mr. and Mr3. Oscar J. Hulet and Mrs. Hulda Peterson. Pet-erson. Bishop and Mrs. Ivan Dailey and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport and Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet were in Cedar City last Thursday Thurs-day evening to attend the CSU commencement exercises where the Dalley's daughter Bonnie, received re-ceived her associate in science degree and the Davenport's son-in-law Fred Whicker received his bachelor of science degree. , Mr. and Mrs. Herbert White and daughter Jeanne traveled to Mosquito, Kev., Saturday where they attended the wedding reception re-ception honoring Susanne White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don White and Robin C. Hagberg. The young couple were married in the St. George LDS Temple. The Herbert Whites returned home Sunday after an overnight stay at the home of his brother. broth-er. Col. J. Frank Dailey and son Gardiner left early Sunday for the annual National Guard encampment en-campment at Camp Williams. Mrs. Frank Dailey and son Mark left Monday for Provo, where Mrs. Dailey will attend Leartorshlp Week at BYU and visit with a sister, Mrs. Arthur Dalton. and family. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum L. Hum-pherys, Hum-pherys, their son Mark and daughter Lorl have lust returned return-ed home after an enjoyabble vacation va-cation that took them into six states. They visited Mrs. Hum-phory's Hum-phory's brother in Farmington, N. M. They then traveled to Star Valley, Wyo. to visit with Mr. Humphery's brother there, and a sister in Grover, Wyo. In Logan, Utah they spent some time with another sister and Mr. Humphery's Hum-phery's father. , The Joe Stapleys of northern California visited here recently with their people, the Earl Stap-ley Stap-ley family. Mr. and Mrs. Dee El Stapley and three children left last Wednesday Wed-nesday for Logan ere Mr. Stapley , will attend ie at j Bonnie and Kathleen Dailey have gone to Zion Park where they have summer employment. Pat and Call Ann Humpherys, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Hy-rum Humpherys visited here for a short time with their folks after af-ter spending the winter in Salt Lake City. They now have gone to Grand Canyon to work. Francis Farrow of Mercury, Nov. spent the week end here with her family, the Raymond Farrows. |
