Show Last Rites Held Tuesday For Daniel F.Leigh Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar Second LDS Ward chapel Tuesday afternoon lor Daniel Fife Leltfh. 82. native of Iron County and long-time resident resi-dent of Cedar City. Mr. Leinh died Friday, June 7. in Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev., whiie visiting with a son. He was born Nov. 2, 18S0 in Hamilton's Fort, a son of Daniel Dan-iel T. and Alice Fife Leigh. He married Edith Hall, July 24, 1907, in Cedar City. She died in 19r)6, and he married Ethel Eliker in 1959 and she died In 1962. Survivors include two sons, D. L. Leigh, Las Vegas; Roscoe N. Leigh, Cedar City, and a daugh-ter, daugh-ter, Mrs. W. E. (Kuth) Ford. Prescott, Ariz. " j Also surving are nine grand- children, seven great-grandchildren, ami the following brit;i ers and sisters, Samuel F., Peter, Kumen, and Bernard Leigh, all of Cedar City; Leon Leigh, Washington, Wash-ington, Utah, and Mrs. Carlos ( Alice Jones, Cedar City. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Theron Ash-croft. Ash-croft. Speakers were Parson U. Webster and Otto Fife, with remarks re-marks by the Bishop. Invocation was by Adam Seegmiller, benediction bene-diction by Eldro Rigby, dedication dedica-tion of the grave by Samuel F. Leigh, a brother. Prayer at the mortuary prior to the services was by George Manning. The musical program included the opening song, "Oh My Father," Fath-er," and the closing son?, "Lead Me Gently Home Father", by a mixed quartet composed of Lois McConnell, Mamie Eck, William Condie and Herschell Neeley, and a vocal solo, "My Work Is Done" by Ray Cosslctt. |
