Show Son-in-Law oi Cedar ' Couple Killed in 1 Tragic Scout Accident The tragic truck accident that claimed the lives of 12 Boys Scouts and Scout Leaders on a, tour to the Hole-in-the-Rock area early this week, included the son-in-law of a Cedar City cou- j pie. 1 Robert Watkins Cook, 30, who was one of the men killed in the accident, was a son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. (Dick) Leigh of Cedar City. He was the husband hus-band of the former Colleen Leigh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leigh. ) Mr. Cook was born July 21,' 1933, a son of John Howard and Pearl Watkins Cook. Sr. lie married mar-ried Colleen Leigh Oct 7. 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. Mr. Cook was a social studies teacher at Highland High School and had held several positions ot leadership in professional organizations. organ-izations. He served from 1953 to 1355 in the Great Lakes Mission and was second counselor In the East 20tl Ward bishopric He served two years In the U. S. Navy and was. an iajjlc beout. Survivors are his widow, at daughter, Leanne, 6; two sons, t oward Leigh, 3, and Robert L. one month; his father, a brother. Dr. John Howard, Cook, Jr.. and a sister, Mary Elaine Cook, who Is serving a mission in Japan. |
