Show Workshop at College Of Southern Utah Summer School Special workshops featured during June as part of Summer School at College of Southern Utah will include a three-day seminar in creativity by Dr. Calvin Cal-vin W. Taylor of the Unlvemity of Utah. The class will be htld dally from 1 to ; p. m. June 12, 13 and 14. Dr. Taylor is a recognized recog-nized authority on the creativity aspects of the human personality personali-ty and has publishttd articles irt Look, Cosmopolitan, Parents, Reader's Digest and) numerous professional magazines. He is an active research specialist for the Armed" Forces and other government gov-ernment agencies. Teaching arithmetic- will be the subject" at a workshop Juno 17, 18 and 13 conducted' by Dr. Edwin HlrscL, former teacher, superintendent of schools and presently professor of education at the University of Utah. Dr. Hirscho has published extensively extensive-ly and served js a consultant in the latest concepts of teaching arithmetic. Thli session will' also be held dally from 1 to 4 p; m. A special workshop for elementary ele-mentary school" principals will be held June 17 through 21 unoVr the direction of Dr. Warren Ketetium of th University, of Michigan. The class is a projiwt of Utah State University and may be taken f ir graduate credit. cre-dit. Creative Dramatics will' bo taught June 19. JO and 21 by Dr. Margaret Woody of Seattle Pacific Pa-cific College. Tn class is especially es-pecially recommended for elementary ele-mentary teachers desiring to gain further insights in drawing draw-ing the best eut of children through dramaCfes. Dr. Woods has taught numerous courses in I creativity and dramatics and has published several books on the subject. |
