Show i Iranian Official Visits ilt College Of Southern Utalr Visiting College of Southern-Utah Southern-Utah Tuesday were guests from Iran including Jalil Mamoudi, iormer dlrectc general of the Iran Ministry of Agriculture and dean of Agriculture at Karaji Agricultural College. Accompanying Accompany-ing Mr. Mamoudi were Ciiassem Hoormand, Iranian, agricultural extension agent in the Caspian area; Kamll Zaree Ebrah extension exten-sion agent In the Ghazvin area and A. Nosratl Chelvari extension exten-sion agent for the Zahedan area. Mr. Mamoudi has resided' in the United States for four years and has obtained a martW's degree de-gree in agricultural economics from Utah Slate University. I in is I presently working toward a- doctorate doc-torate in sociology from University Univer-sity of Utah. Mr. Mamoudi is acting- as. a guide and interpretta- tor tftu and explained that they are completing com-pleting four months of schooling in agricultural extension work at USUI They are memfters ef a group- of 14 persns from eight forelj.it countries; participating in the program -which is sponsored" spon-sored" by the Agency for Inter-natfl-jnal Development,, an affiliate- of the U;. S. State Department Depart-ment The group is visiting CSU as a part of a stady tour which has included trips to various Utah rountlcs to confer with county i apnts andi Inspect agricultural developments. They will complete com-plete studies at USU before leaving leav-ing for Washington, D. C. frcn where they will return to Itan at the end of June. |
