Cedar High Redmen Will Pit Talents Against Flashy Squad from Blanding Cedar High School Kedmen and the Broncos of San Juan High School will clash Saturday afternoon at 1 at Blanding In a State Class B semi-final windup of the 1960 football season. No two teams could be more alike than the Broncos and the Hodmen as bet!', work from th" T formation, both have comparatively compar-atively small lines, and both have top speedsters in the state. It will be a test of who has the most speed In the backficld and In the line and who can defense de-fense best against that speed. Last week the Broncos of San Juan staged an upset 24 to 20 quarter final victory over American Amer-ican Fork. The game was played at Pleasant Grove. San Juan utilized Its speed and passing ability against the Cavemen to post the victory. Hedmen-Bronco game will be broadcast over Radio Station KSUB beginning at 12:45. it was announced early this week. Finding early in the game that Nicky Black, one of the top sprinters sprin-ters in the Class B ranks, could outrun anything that American Fork had, the Broncos quickly took advantage of that speed not only of Black, but of the linemen line-men as well and sprang him loose for touchdown runs of 80 and 63 yards to post the victory. Jones, the fine receiver receiv-er of San Juan will be matching his ability against Steve Cahoon of the Redmen, one of the fastest men for Coach Hal Norton. Outcome of the game, as the result of the similarities of the two squads, is going to depend a lot on the line play of the Redmen Red-men with Darrell Krueger, Kent Bradshaw and Blaine Cutler heading the Cedar High attack. I Winner of Saturday's contest will advance to the State Class B finals, which will be played on Saturday, Nov. 26 at BYU stad-'ium stad-'ium in Provo.
