Show Cedar City Youngsters Aid Grandfather Two young misses, ages 10 and 12, are heroines this week, at least to their grandfather, Leigh-ton Leigh-ton "Curley" Dennett. The heroines are the young Misses Karen Lee and Kathryn Chrlstensen, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Chrlstensen. Mr. Dennett was at the D & C Charcoal Pit west of Cedar City working Sunday. He lit the kiln j which had been constructed of cinder block and cement. An explosion ex-plosion of gasses occured. As a result of the explosion a corner of the kiln was blown off, trapping trap-ping Mr. Dennett by his legs. Mrs. Dennett came to town for assistance and while she was gone the two young Chrlstensen j girls pried the cement from Mr. Dennett's legs and freed him. |
