Show PHS November Activities listed ' Con test Winner i Miss Darlene Hyatt, senior stu-1 dent at Parowan High School was winner of the annual oratorical ora-torical contest held at the special Veterans Day assembly at the Parowan High School. j The contest, sponsored by the! American Legion and Auxiliary Post No. 20, is an anuual affair1 with the winner advancing to compete In the Division Seven contest held during February. Mi&s Hyatt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alma E. Hyatt of this city, is an active member of the Parowan High student body and is an "A" student at the school. Other studenU participating in the contest last Friday were Met-ta Met-ta Marie Mortensen and Linda Rae Dalton, and all of them gave very fine orations during the assembly. as-sembly. Exchange Assembly On Monday, Nov. 21, at 11 a. m. the Milford High School will present pre-sent its exchange assembly to the Parowan High School. These assembly programs always feature fea-ture fine entertainment and the high school extends an invitation invita-tion to the townspeople to attend at-tend with the students. Hazvest Ball On Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 2:45 p. m. the Future Farmers of America chapter at the high .school will present an assembly program! At this assembly, Jerry D. Robinson will report his last summer trip to California. Also during the program the chapter will conduct a drawing for var-I var-I ious food items such as pies, and cakes with the grand prize to be a turkey. I The assembly is In charge of Doug Murie and Joe Mickelson with Thales Brown as chapter advisor. On Thanksgiving night the chapter will hold its annual Harvest Har-vest Ball in the high school gym. Lynn Thornton is chairman if this event at which the high school orchestra will furnish the music for dancing and the public pub-lic is cordially invited to attend. |
