Isaacson, the first counselor of the Presiding Bishopric of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Latter-day Saints, will be the featured speakers Saturday and Sunday, November 26 and 27, during a quarterly conference of the Cedar Ce-dar Stake. He was news editor, managing editor, then editor and general manager of the Deseret News, and is now president of this large Church-owned publishing publish-ing company. Bishop Isaacson was a teacher, principal, coach, and district school administrator before he became a prominent V.te Insurance Insur-ance and real estate figure. He has served 12 years on the Board of Trustees cf Utah State University Uni-versity at Logan. Saturday evenhig meetings will be for lay church leaders, devoted to the Church's loca' ar.ci worid-wiue niissiunaiy proTarn and activities of the priesthood. President Corry also announced this week that music for the two general sessions of the conference confer-ence would be furnished by the Seventh and Eighth Ward choirs. Eighth Ward, under the direction direc-tion of Dr. Blaine Johnson, will furnish music for the morning session and the Seventh, direc-ed direc-ed by Wallace Adams, will perform per-form at the afternoon session. |
