Show District Riding Clubs To Split in Half, More Clubs Interested A special meeting of the Rod Hill Wranglers was held Monday night at the Old Mill to discuss developments arising from the recent meeting of the directors of the District 8 riding clubs, according ac-cording to Mrs. Fred Dalton, reporter re-porter for the Parowan club. At the District meeting, held here on Nov. 9, it was decided to split District 8 into two divisions, with Tarowan, Panguitrh and St. George forming the new district with other interested clubs from this area. Clubs which have expressed ex-pressed Interest in joining are Cedar City, Hurricane, Enterprise and Kanab. At the Monday meeting of the local group, which was held following fol-lowing a potluck supper, it was decided to Join the state association asso-ciation of riding clubs for the year 1961 and to support the new district. Reed Orton and Rulan Dalton, district directors from the Parowan club, met Tuesday evening, eve-ning, Nov. 15 to assist In the organization or-ganization of the new district. Present Monday night were Mr. and Mrs. Reed Orton, Mr. and Mrs. Rulan Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. K. Chamberlain, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bentlcy, Mr. and Mrs. Verl Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fife, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dalton, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Tullls, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bentlcy, Mr. and Mre. Rupert Hulet and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bryant. |
