Show Explorer Scouts, Leaders Plan Activities Boy and adult explorer Jeaders of the Cedar Breaks District, Utah National Parks Council, of Boy Scouts' of America, met last Wednesday Wed-nesday in their spring quarter planning conference. The meet ing was called by district camp, ing and activities committeeman, Foyer Olsen, and was under the direction of Grant Seaman, of the camping and activities com. mittee, and Ralph Thompson, assistant as-sistant district commissioner for Exploring. Highlights of the coming spring program and committee assignments, include the follow. Ing: NeUls Air Encampment, scheduled for late March, with all post advisors and district committeemen cooperating In the program;' "Glamour Panel," scheduled sche-duled for April, Neil Petty, chair-man; chair-man; Granger Leigh, advisor, and Dr. Royden C. Braithwalte, representing rep-resenting the district committee; Tree planting service project, Alex Rollo, chairman; Paul War-by, War-by, advisor, and Grant Seaman, district committeeman; Field Sports Meet, scheduled for May, Jay McClellan, chairman; Richard Rich-ard Stuckl, advisor, with Foyer Olsen, district committeeman. Named to the steering committee commit-tee for future planning were Richard Hirschl, Matt Bulloch, Ralph Stokes and Kenton Willis. Explorers, with Foyer Olsen, Paul Warby and Merrell HoweU as advisors. Another project of interest was explorer participation In the Ground Observer Corps "Opera-, "Opera-, tlon Skywatch." Is is planned that explorers and advisors of the Cedar Breaks District will participate In this national ser-Ivice ser-Ivice project to the fullest possible possi-ble extent. "Father and Son" teams have been proposed to assist as-sist in manning the observation posts. All post advisors and district dis-trict committeemen have been assigned to promote this activity.
