Show Officers Elected By Demos For 1956 fiction Mario Topham of Parowan was elected as chairman of the Iron County Democratic Committee at a reorganization meeting held at Parowan Saturday, Mar. 3. Topham will succeed John Smith of Cedar City who has served in that capacity throughout the past year. Other officers elected to the county committee included Carol Wright of Parowan as vice chair-woman chair-woman succeeding Lalanl Bent-ley, Bent-ley, also of Parowan. Mrs. Bentley was then elected to serve as the committee's secretary for the coming year. Clarence Miller of Cedar City was reelected to the treasurer's post Fred Lawrence is the outgoing secretary. Keynote speaker at the county convention was state senator Car-Jyle Car-Jyle Gronnlng of Mllford. Walter K. Granger, former US representative, represen-tative, also spoke at the event In addition to the reorganization reorganiza-tion elections delegates from the county precincts were elected. These delegates will attena tne State Convention to be held In Salt Lake City on April 14. Delegates elected were: Mr. Topham, Mrs. Wright and Scott Mitchell of Parowan; Burnus Barlow of Beryl, Mr. Granger, Leonard Smith, John Smith, Dub Leigh, Donald Mathews, Hal E. Chrlstensen, Roy Urie, Orville Isom and Theron Ashcroft, all of Cedar City. |
