Show Second Ward Juniors Represent Stake . At Division Tourney The Parowan Second Ward Junior Jun-ior M-Men basketball team won the play-off in the Parowan stake and left Wednesday noon to participate par-ticipate in the division tournament tourna-ment for this region, being held in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. They were to pjay the Order-vllle Order-vllle Ward team, Kanab Stake representative at 9 p. m. Wednesday Wednes-day with the outcome stiU unknown un-known at press lime today. Win or lose, they will play again today to-day and will remain in Las Vegas Ve-gas until Friday night. The Second Ward won the right to represent Parowan stake by winning the local championship in a final game on Monday evening eve-ning in which they defeated the Paragonah Ward team by a 29 to 22 score. They have been coached during the year by Al-den Al-den Hyatt with Warren A. Dal-ton Dal-ton assisting, and both of these men accompanied the team to Nevada, Dalton to remain with the boys until they ocme home. Souad members are Merrell Halterman, Evan J. Lister, Tommy Tom-my Rowley, Douglas Hocklngs, Kenneth Rowley, Douglas Mick-elson, Mick-elson, Sheldon Smith, Ronald Smith, Larry Stubbs, and Le-Grand Le-Grand Leigh. |
